Massage the scalp during your daily shampoo to stimulate blood circulation. Shampoo the entire scalp in a circular motion, pulling up the scalp muscles. Massage the scalp from the bottom up. The top of the head, which tends to be particularly hard, should be massaged thoroughly after you have relaxed the area around it. Finally, use your thumbs to press on the "ten-chu" (the hollow point at the top of the head). Press the point for about three seconds, gradually increasing the pressure, and then slowly release your finger.
